Debian reboot and install update

Debian is has improved over time to the better and there are very nice features in each Debian release being made. One of my favorite of recent is rebooting to install all updates.

Debian is has improved over time to the better and there are very nice features in each Debian release being made. One of my favorite of recent is rebooting to install all updates. As part of keeping your system update to date, debian has a feature where it requires for your to reboot and get the updates installed. I find this feature insteresting because, whenever you login on into your debian machine you will be notified of an update available and the option to reboot and the installation will be performed automatically. One of the main reason why this is important is because it eliminates the following;

  • Manually install updates with apt;
  • You are warned before hand when you login;
  • The system reboots once for all, So you own't be botthered to reboot when working
